On top of the daily rental fee, it’s also industry standard to charge mileage fees for RV rentals. You’ll usually see these range from $0.30-0.40 cents per mile you drive. The average class B RV has a 25-gallon tank. As of writing this article, the average price for regular gasoline across the U.S. is around $3.60 per gallon. So, it would cost about $90 to fill up a full 25-gallon tank on a class B camper van. The average camper van gets about 15.5 MPG, so a gas tank will last you for about 387 miles.

RV fill-up costs can vary depending on the type of fuel your vehicle takes. Some camper vans run on diesel fuel, and while diesel RVs typically get better gas mileage, diesel costs more per gallon than regular gasoline.
