Our family does as well!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of the weather, we\u2019ve experienced it all in our camper van \u2014 from nights that dipped below zero degrees to temps so warm we could\u2019ve cooked our eggs on the bumper instead of the pan. We lived in Phoenix, AZ for a while where Escape Camper Vans has a depot. In the desert, it is not uncommon to see a 40-degree drop in temp when the sun goes down (which is around dinner time).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this big of a change in temperature, it is important to pack layers for your kids (and yourself) rather than additional outfits. We suggest lightweight pajamas that you can use to layer up if needed. A space saver that can also be used for your kids\u2019 sweatshirts, stuffy, or even a pillow we have found Cubcoats to help with all of this! This can make for some toasty evenings in the summer.\u00a0 I suggest packing some light, breathable blankets, especially for the kids. Although most are \u2018baby size\u2019 my girls still use the bamboo blankets on our summer camping adventures.\u00a0 They are 3 and 5 now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are in for a hot night, think ahead on gas and keep the air conditioning flowin\u2019 until you are ready to go to sleep in your camper van. Keep the air tight until later and once you feel the heat rising, crack the windows and get the fresh air flowin\u2019 again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another idea if you don\u2019t want to wake up in the middle of the night is to simply start the night with the windows cracked and a fan near the window to keep the air circulating. Water! <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Look for y<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">our favorite, well-priced water bottles for any size.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chilled snack bags<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (filled with snacks of course :)).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For young kids: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">protective clothes<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, hats, sunnies, and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sunscreen<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Our favorite for this is SPF 50 and bug repellent clothes from Reima.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sunscreen<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you have a newborn you aren\u2019t wanting to put sunscreen on yet?
