Each season brings a new vibe. Temperature-wise it\u2019s cooler than most places in the desert in the summer. The fall season brings you stunning colorful trees and the perfect brisk breeze. In the winter you\u2019ll find the red rock with the snow is just breathtakingly beautiful. And spring features beautiful desert flowers which are a sight to behold.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go and pick out a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/escapecampervans.com\/campervans\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">campervan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">check out some of these places to explore while camping in Sedona, especially if you are traveling with kids.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>National Parks updates in Arizona:<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2><strong>Grand Canyon<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div class=\"container my-4\">\n    <div class=\"row\">\n        <p class=\"description\">\n            Entirely within the state of Arizona, the park encompasses 278 miles (447 km) of the Colorado River and adjacent uplands. Located on the ancestral homelands of 11 present day Tribal Communities, Grand Canyon is one of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world\u2014a mile deep canyon unmatched in the incomparable vistas it offers visitors from both north and south rims.        <\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- Description -->\n        <div class=\"description-container\">\n            <div class=\"container\">\n                <div class=\"row\">\n                    <div class=\"col-12 p-0\">\n                        <div class=\"description\">\n                            <img src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/escape2.0\/assets\/images\/info.svg\" alt=\"info icon\">\n                            <p>Both Desert View (East Entrance) and South Entrance are Open 24 hours\/day and 7 Days\/week. Credit cards, and America the Beautiful passes are accepted for entry. Cash is not accepted at this time. The South Entrance Station, near Tusayan, Arizona, receives the most traffic, an experiences long lines and up to 2 hour wait times between 9:30 am and 4 pm. The East Entrance at Desert View - 32 miles east of the village (accessed via US 89 to Cameron, AZ, then west on SR 64, usually has shorter wait times.<\/p>\n                        <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <div class=\"description-container\">\n            <div class=\"container\">\n                <div class=\"row\">\n                    <div class=\"col-12 p-0\">\n                        <div class=\"description\">\n                            <img src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/escape2.0\/assets\/images\/info.svg\" alt=\"info icon\">\n                            <p>The East Entrance to the park at Desert View is open 24 hours\/day, 7 days\/week. Visitors traveling through the Navajo Nation on US 89, turn west at Cameron, Arizona onto State Route 64, then drive 25 miles (40 km) to the park's East Entrance. A stop at Desert View provides spectacular first views of Grand Canyon and Colorado River. Most Desert View services are open for visitors. Desert View Campground will be open for the 2025 season between April 12 and October 12. 2025. This 20 room high-rise apartment, nestled into a towering limestone cliff, tells a story of ingenuity, survival and ultimately, prosperity in an unforgiving desert landscape.        <\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"Alerts-severity\">Information<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"Alert-item Alert-information\">\n<div class=\"Alert-itemContent\">\n<h3 class=\"Alert-title\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-hidden=\"true\">Outlet Trail Closed at Montezuma Well National Monument<\/h3>\n<p><span tabindex=\"0\">The outlet trail at Montezuma Well National Monument is currently closed for maintenance.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"Alert-item Alert-information\">\n<div class=\"Alert-itemContent\">\n<h3 class=\"Alert-title\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-hidden=\"true\">Museum Under Renovation<\/h3>\n<p><span tabindex=\"0\">Due to renovations, the museum inside the visitor center is closed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"text","text":"<h2><b>A Few Great Places For Some Amazing Camping<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Rancho RV Park <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; less rustic, still beautiful sites. Very nice facilities. Looking at $50-$70 depending on the time of year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Manzanita Campground<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Rustic Riverside camping. Very beautiful location.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Lo-Lo-Mai Springs Campground <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0&#8211; \u00a0 Have a mixture of sites available. Nice facilities and unique vibes that will give you the full Sedona experience. I mean, they have a \u201csometimes store\u201d if that doesn\u2019t tell you enough!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Slide Rock &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Was one of our favorite things to do in Arizona<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and fun places to explore while camping in Sedona!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We spent hours sliding down and jumping off the ledges! If you hit the right time of day and season there are <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">very few<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> people. If you are daring enough to swim in the colder weeks, you will have the place to yourself. You\u2019ll find a $10-$20 dollar entry fee depending on the season as well as bathrooms and a snack house.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Downtown Sedona &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Downtown is another <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one of the fun places to explore in Sedona<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and is filled with unique souvenir shops and restaurants.\u00a0 You get the best vacation vibes, surrounded by panoramic views of the red rocks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"text","text":"<h2><b>See The Vistas From Sedona to Flagstaff During Scenic Drive Along HWY 89a.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>HWY 89a <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a beautiful scenic highway with plenty of pull-offs and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provides more fun places to explore in Sedona<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. One in particular about 5 miles north of Sedona just over the bridge.\u00a0 There you will find a pull-off with a hiking trail that takes you down to the Oak Creek river for more beautiful views. The bridge towers over the canyon majestically and the architecture is impressive \u2014 deserving of a photo or two itself!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Oak Creek Vista <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; A beautiful vista overlooking some rolling mountains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"text","text":"<h2><b>Here Are A Couple Of Our Favorite Hikes<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Cathedral Rock Trail &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A moderate<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> hike that is<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a little bit harde<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">r for kids!<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s only<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 1.5-miles roundtrip, but with some very steep inclines in places <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and very fun<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! This hike is my absolute favorite of all time, and if you know me, that is saying a lot! It&#8217;s short and sweet but man-O-man the views are incredible.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What I love about it is the whole time you are climbing, you see beautiful scenery behind you; then when you get to the top, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">there is<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a mind-blowing view of the other side of the mountain. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will take your breath away. Take your time for lots of pictures. I\u2019ve done this with many different levels of hikers and all have enjoyed this trail. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I hiked<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a baby pack and younger children and they all loved it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Bell Rock Trail<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;\u00a0An <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">easy to moderate hike and more welcoming to kids!<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are three trails, we have done two and both are beautiful.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> One hike was 4 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">miles roundtrip. This one went around the whole top of the rock. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was another one of our fun places to explore in Sedona because the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">views <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">were<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stunning all the way around and we did it with the kids in the pack. The beginning and end are high traffic but most of it was hardly any people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Devil\u2019s Bridge Trail<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; It was a moderate hike (hard for kids because of the length) and about 2 miles roundtrip, but it was straight up.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You can see the views and also climb around a bit. This is more heavily trafficked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can drive past the parking area and right up to the trail. You will have a couple of miles of hiking with some jeeps passing by. Once you get to the Devil\u2019s Bridge trailhead you will find the steeper part. We did it with a baby on my back and young children and they all loved it!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"text","text":"<h2><b>Let Me Not Forget To Mention A Few Good Places to Eat!<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Cowboy Club Restaurant <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0&#8211; One of our favorite restaurants to date because they make it feel so authentic! Be sure and order the appetizer platter so you can have the full Sedona experience. On the platter are fries made from cacti, actual rattlesnake meat, bison brochettes, and prickly pear cactus jam!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Some Other Places For Food<\/b><b> &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> There is a lot of fast food and chain options as well. Random fact &#8211; the McDonald\u2019s in town features the only McDonalds in the world where the arches are not golden! The arches are blue because gold didn&#8217;t match the city&#8217;s (natural) decor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>When it Comes Exploring Fun Places In Sedona, Always Use Caution<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be cautious while visiting: If you aren\u2019t used to the desert wildlife and land please use caution. There are things with the nickname \u201cjumping cactus\u201d aka a cholla cactus, which got this nickname because they very easily attach to you if you simply brush up against it. Also, keep your eye out for scorpions, spiders, and rattlesnakes, and do your research to be sure the kids stay away from these!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We truly hope your stay is a wonderful one and you make the best memories while checking out one of the most beautiful places in the desert.
