Overall positive experience, especially grateful for customer service representatives in person and on the phone. Flexible with pickup and drop off especially when I had a last minute change. Very personable and responsive via telephone regardless of location of pickup/dropoff (worked directly with Las Vegas and SLC locations, spoke through one central phone line).Vehicle (Maverick) was reliable, no breakdowns which is surprising for it having 388,000 miles already. Beautiful art on the outside. Good mileage. I'm used to old vehicles, but I noticed limitations in it's accelerator abilities especially on the winding and climbing hills of Utah's national parks. Maximum speed was marked with a sticker on the dash that said "caution: max speed 65 mph" which I didn't hear about in advance and didn't know if this was company specific or a literal vehicle capability restriction. Highway speed limits were often 80 mph on my trip, and since I never pushed the van past the 65 mph, ETAs were approximately 20 mins later than the GPS initial estimate (annoying!). Van shook and wobbled at speeds above 60 mph. Heat did not work in the rear of the camper van, only the front. Maybe time to retire this one?Auxiliary input was touchy, needed to be "just right" to avoid static. Not cord specific. Kitchen kit was great, fridge always stayed cold. Electrical kit (power strip and ext cord) worked except for the space heater, which turned on once and then never worked again. Utah temps in November were down to mid 20s overnight, this was disappointing while camping. Bedding kit had a strong febreze smell, duvet is thin and no top sheet provided.Grateful for the experience to visit national parks safely with this van. Only wish I'd been assigned a newer vehicle overall, as friends who have used Escape camper Vans in the past never shared these same shortcomings. Thanks very much.

10/10 recommend escape campervans to anyone! flew in to portland oregon from philly, picked up there (great experience) and dropped off in los angeles 12 days later (only a $250 charge to drop off at another location which saved us hundreds more and gave us more time to explore and not have to make that round trip back) this was our first time renting a campervan, so complete beginners and it was a breeze! pricing was clear from the beginning, we went way over our miles and it still only cost an extra $340ish more. van was comfortable, reliable, in great condition and drove super quiet considering how many miles were on it. The ONLY thing that was a bit of a pain was the limited pick up and drop off times… it made finding a flight a bit more difficult and gave me some worry that all flights were on time… and they were and everything worked out just fine 🙂 but for future reference a few more hours of leeway would be appreciated! Otherwise I cant complain about a thing! Our Dragon campervan is def a core memory of our roadtrip! Fyi: this is the Maverick style van… plenty of room for the 2 of us. protip- get a $15 king sixe mattress pad at walmart to put on the bed so you dont feel the creases in the cushions! and dont buy any supplies til you see what previous renters left behind to share! we left a bunch for y’all! have fun! pics below: crater lake, buffs beach, kings canyon, sequoia np, joshua tree

Vielen Dank Escape-Campervans!

We had a maverick van for a week to travel through the canyons near Vegas. We drove 1100 miles. It was a blast. The van is a beast but it's great. No problem, and very easy to drive. We didn't use our tent on the roof because the nights were too cold for our 8 year old. We slept together inside and it was fine. The team is nice and it's fast for checking-in and checking-outThank you so much.
