If you’d like extra room for your family and gear, or if taking a longer, more epic trip, you might want to try the Big Sur campervan. Here you have the same amenities as the Mavericks. Yet it’s big enough that you don’t have to fold down the bucket seats to make your queen-size bed. The Big Sur also includes extra storage space. So feel free to pack that extra bathing suit. You can even go for the optional rooftop sleeper.

Starting from the New York Escape depot, it should take just over 8 hours to get to Acadia National Park, heading north along I-95.
As you approach Acadia National Park, enter via Schoodic Loop Road. Admission is $30.00 per personal vehicle, but no fee if you own an America The Beautiful National Park pass.
The most visited campsites are at Blackwoods Campground or Seawall Campground. You’ll want to call first, though, as you might need to make reservations — especially in the high season from May to October. Luckily, you won’t need a large pad or sewer hookups, which means you can camp almost anywhere!
For out-of-the-way campsites, make your way over to Schoodic Woods Campground or Duck Harbor Campground. Or try dispersed camping near Acadia National Park in your campervan. Just know, dispersed camping means roughing it without restrooms, showers, or fire rings, so please practice the Leave No Trace principles.
