LOVED them!! We rented for 8 days out of NJ. Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and awesome. The van itself was great. Comfy bed, great kitchen set up in the back, it got great gas mileage and was easy to navigate. Even when we had a few issues on the road, roadside assistance was awesome and responded quickly and they took care of us. I highly recommend!!

This was my second time renting from Escape Campervans, and once again, it was an awesome experience. My four friends and I picked up the van in NYC and road-tripped out to Cleveland to see Morgan Wallen, and the whole journey ended up being just as memorable as the concert itself.

The van was perfect for our group — spacious enough that four of us could travel comfortably, with room for all our bags and gear. Having the van made the trip feel like an adventure in itself, and we loved being able to stop wherever we wanted along the way.

The pickup and drop-off process was super easy and hassle-free, which I really appreciate when planning a trip. Escape makes it simple to get on the road quickly so you can focus on having fun. Both times I’ve rented, everything has gone smoothly from start to finish.

We had such a blast and I’m already looking forward to my next excursion with Escape. If you’re thinking about doing a road trip with friends, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s the best way to make the journey just as special as the destination.

My family rented a van from Escape Camper Vans for not so exciting circumstances. Due to a sudden parental passing and lack of the RealID required to travel by air, we had to drive from NY to TX. We are so grateful that we were able to get a vehicle on short notice and customer service was so kind.
We would highly recommend renting one of their vans for trips long and short. The van was very spacious and modular allowing us to rest, play and eat. (Plus it had a super cool external design.) There was no way we could have made this journey to Texas and back in less than a week in a regular vehicle. We did not have time to stop to sight see or rent a room for rest but the van truly took care of us.
Again, we are so grateful for the kindness of the company and comfort of the vehicle during our time of mourning. We were able to enjoy our time together as a family and experience some very scenic views from the windows.

We rented a Mesa from the Jersey City location for a trip to Acadia National Park. John was amazing at pick up and drop off and the van functioned exactly as he described! It was plenty of space and storage for two adults, a toddler, and a dog! The van allowed us to see many parts of the park with several stops along the way. The colorful design was loved by our toddler and was a frequent conversation starter with fellow travelers!

We had a great time in Acadia! I went with my son and he enjoyed sleeping in both the pop up roof tent and the van. Having the sleepervan made the trip a little easier, as we were able to pack up and go a little quicker than we would've with a tent. We had to change campsites one evening and it made it easy to just zip over to the other side of the park and reset. My son also loved the solar-charged light in the back of the van, which helped it transform into a place to chill to play games at the table or relax before bed. The kitchen and utensils provided made eating and cleanup easy. John at the rental center was helpful. Everything worked out for us, so we feel happy with the experience. We would love to do it again one day, maybe even a one-way trip out west instead of a round-trip here out of the NY area.

We had the most amazing time in our Escape Camper Van covering almost 2000 miles and 13 East Coast states in 7 days! The van is very easy to drive and you can fit into most outdoor parking lots in it. The Campers are spacious and roomy, cleverly designed so that the seating and table area converts to a queen sized bed while the back of the van is a kitchen area with gas double hob and even a fridge! Lots of people commented on the cool artwork and how self-contained the van was! The staff at the New York site was so friendly and helpful, even dropping us off at the subway so we could catch a train back to JFK Airport! The highlight of our trip was getting engaged at Niagara Falls! The best holiday ever! Thank you so much 🥰

My partner and I rented from Escape Campervans New York in June, and loved our experience. The staff was extremely courteous, and the van was astounding. This was such a great way to see New England, and can’t wait to rent again. 10/10 would recommend Escape campervans for your next adventure. We slept in 7 states in 12 days, and never had an issue with the van. Everything ran smoothly.

My wife and I are regular customers of this amazing company. We’ve rented different vehicles three times already. The first time was six years ago — we drove from New York to San Francisco. The second time was in the summer of 2024 — we went from New York to Miami. And the third time was just this past weekend — we took a trip upstate.
We traveled to Miami as a family of three with our daughter; the other two times it was just the two of us.
There are practically no downsides to these vehicles — the service is excellent, the beds are comfortable, and the AC, kitchen, and heater are all top-notch. And the way these rigs look — absolutely badass. We recommend them to everyone and will definitely keep coming back!

Escape Campervans is awesome. This is our second time taking this van. We brought the van HillVille from New York City to Acadia National Park. The van was everything we needed. We unpacked the van at the campsite and used the van for all of traveling. We cooked out the back at the top of Cadillac Mountain. We are excited to use Escape Camper again in the near future!!!

Van worked well, got us where we needed to go! John was a delight and very accommodating.
We will definitely be back next spring/summer vacation. We drove our van through the mountains of Vermont and saved a ton on accomodations while staying in gorgeous parks, staying close to the trails we wanted to hike. I recommend renting from here if you want to get in touch with nature without breaking the bank.

We’ve travelled from NYC to The Great Smokies Mountains in Mesa camper van. Everything was perfect! The van was spacious enough for the two of us, had plenty of horse power and we didn’t had any major issues (we had to replace one indicator light which was done with the help from the fantastic team at Escape Campervans, took us like 50 minutes). The staff was super helpful with all of our needs. The van was also recently checked so we’ve traveled without a stress. Would come again!

We enjoyed 9 nights with « Donuts » ! Traveling to Shenandoa, New river gorge, OBX and Washington !
It was our second time with this company. First was in LA. and western part.
John the atendee was also very nice and helpfull. We will use again Camper van for our next stand !

This was our first time renting an EscapeCampervans. The man helping us at pickup was very nice and thorough. And we got an upgrade from the Maverick to the Mesa van at arrival, which was a nice touch. We started in New York drove up to Acadia, Maine and drove (through Kentucky down to Louisiana) to Orlando in 54 days (drove over 9.000 km). Halfway through, we were doubting changing our plans due to the hurricanes. EscapeCampervans was very accommodating, which was really nice (even though we didn't use it in the end).

Renting a van was a nice way for us the see such a big part of the country, while being able to also visit cities and cooking our own meals.

The van was great and some of the things did break down along the way (nothing driving related, but little parts). At the end, we mentioned this, just as an FYI for the next person renting, and we were reimbursed for parts of it, which was a nice surprise.

All in all, thanks Escape for a great holiday!

The mess van was so fun to have. Drove like a dream I was a bit worried about the length of it but. I didn’t have a problem at all , The bed slide out was easy to use as was the camp stove and sink it was very good on gas so I was super happy with my 9 day trip

We went on a road trip from New York to Vermont and Maine to enjoy the stunning autumn colors, and Escape Campervans made it an unforgettable experience! The colorful van was well-equipped, making it easy to cook and enjoy the outdoors.🔥🍁

I’ve rented the campervan from EscapeCampervans 3 times, and once again, I absolutely loved everything! From the pick up to drop off, I’ve been in few different locations and every location was very helpful and welcoming!
I will be definitely waiting for another great deal they have and will try do this again soon!
This time I drove from Florida to NJ, stopping and exploring Shenandoah National Park!

We have had such an incredible experience with Escape! We travelled for two months from New York to Seattle (the long way around) and it truly was the trip of a lifetime. The process of picking up and dropping off was very smooth. We had a few minor issues with the van across our 7000 mile-long journey but always felt so supported by everyone we had contact with in Escape. They fixed everything quickly and easily and offered us great compensation, they’re a truly lovely team!
Living in our van the Matrix was so much fun and we will miss it. We hope she takes other people on just as exciting adventures! I couldn’t recommend them more:)

This was our 3rd time using Escape Camper Vans but first time at the New York/New Jersey location.

The staff was super friendly and helpful during the pick up and drop off process. They were clear about all of the options and information needed about the vehicle rental.

We rented a Maverick and it was just as expected - some of the vans are on the older side but we had no issues with the van or any of the features.

Would highly recommend Escape to anyone looking for a semi built out van life van for a quick adventure!

We hired a Maverick from New Jersey in August and had a great two weeks driving to Catskills, Niagara, 1000 Islands, Lake George, Cape Cod, Mystic and back. The van's small enough to fit in normal parking places and camping sites but is large enough to fit all your gear and give a good view of the road ahead. You also get a few looks, smiles and questions because of the paint designs.

Everything worked and was very simple to operate. Staff was friendly and helpful. And the whole check in and check out process was nothing like a normal vehicle rental - no waiting, very smooth, relaxed and without surprises. We will do this again! Only regrets are the extras we didn't order but should have (rooftop tent and camping chairs).

The NY office was left with an obviously newer employee on his own and send out vans on the day we picked up. We were able to resolve all issues by calling the main line on the phone.

The van was as expected. It was clean and with a few reminders to the employee we left with everything we rented. 14 days into our 15 day trip we got a flat tire. The roadside department was awesome. We were swamped for a spare and sent back out to finish our last 250 miles!

When I returned our van to the Seattle office they were well organized and the return was done with ease.

Overall the trip went as expected!

We booked an escape camper van for our national park trip starting in Vegas and ending in Denver. I love that we were able to drop off at a different location, it made the planning so much easier! The van was equipped with exactly what was listed, and it was freshly cleaned when we picked it up. We LOVED our van, and it made our camping experience so much more

Escape Camper Vans is great to work with. We recently rented from their new Salt Lake City location and was very pleased with the service and communication. Very close to the airport. Probably a 15.00 Uber ride. Picking up the van was so easy and dropping off was just as easy. I cannot remember the person's name but he was very helpful. The van was clean when we received it. This is great to rent if you want to travel and explore without having to make reservations at a hotel, or put up a tent every night. We’ve rented from Escape two years ago out of Denver and also had a great experience. You can rent the van and also rent additional supplies such as tents, kitchen kit, chairs…etc….

I would highly recommend using Escape Camper Vans and can’t wait for my next adventure with them!

What an awesome experience, I can’t recommend Escape Campervans enough!

First, to speak on my experience before getting out in the van: everyone I spoke to went out of their way to help me out, especially because I had to reschedule a couple of times due to schedule conflicts and pandemic stuffs. (We ended up going on the weekend of our 2yr anniversary and it was a perfect way to celebrate). I appreciated their team being so accommodating and literally anything you need to know about the logistics of campervan traveling can either be found through their site or their staff (they also provide a whole booklet for you to keep with itineraries, how-tos, recipes, everything!).

Now, the trip itself was absolutely amazing. We didn’t even go that far either, we just went about 2 hours upstate to keep the trip on the less expensive side. (Putting a plug in for Rustic Ridge View Farm over by New Paltz - Wally was a great host!)

This trip was something I had won in a raffle and came with a bunch amenities but I would 100% recommend many of them including a bedding kit, kitchen kit, camping chairs, and propane tanks. I mean, they think of literally everything you could need which takes the stress of packing a bunch of extra stuff out of the equation. They even had a wine opener in there, they’re good people lol.

The car drove great, I have a lot of driving experience but have never driven a van and I felt pretty comfortable operating the vehicle. Oh and it has a cooler! That was very cool - pun intended. The cooler cools down while the car battery is on and can stay cool for a day or two before it needs some juice. I wasn’t expecting that but it came in super handy. The bed was also quite comfy, I was surprised how easy it was to sleep in the van and the pillows they provided were top notch.

All in all everything - from the staff, to the van, to the experience itself - exceeded my expectations of campervan traveling. These guys really care about making your trip as comfortable and fun as possible and just genuinely want people to get out and explore. I would 100% come back and book with them again.
