How To Get To The Florida Keys From Orlando

From the Orlando Escape depot, it’s a little over 4 hours to reach the Florida Keys, heading south along I-4 W. You then want to take the Turnpike to US-1 S/NE.

The most talked-about campsites are at Key Largo Kampground & Marina or the Big Pine Key Resort. You’ll want to call first, though, as you may need reservations — especially in the high season from May to September. Of course, you won’t need a huge RV spot or electrical hookups, meaning you can camp almost anywhere!

For smaller, more intimate campsites, you can try Leo’s Campground or Boyd’s Key West Campground. Or try dispersed camping near the Florida Keys with your Escape campervan. Just remember, dispersed camping sites don’t have restrooms, showers, or fire rings, so please practice the Leave No Trace principles.
