Right now, the places we love to explore are facing real challenges. As funding cuts impact parks, public lands, and outdoor programs, it’s more important than ever to travel thoughtfully, support local businesses, and give back to the communities and wild spaces that make adventure possible.
When you hit the road with Escape Campervans, your journey becomes part of the solution.
That’s why we wanted to share a personal note from our President, to take the opportunity to reflect on what’s at stake, what we stand for, and how together, we can keep the spirit of adventure alive.
A Letter From Our President:
Dear Friends,
We’re reaching out today with full hearts and an important message.
At Escape Campervans, we’ve always believed that the spirit of travel, of exploration, connection, and adventure knows no borders. Our little campervan company was built by New Zealanders on the idea that the open road is for everyone, no matter where you call home. For over 15 years, we’ve been lucky to welcome travelers from across the world from Canada, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and beyond. Every single one of you has left a mark on our hearts.
Lately, we know things have felt different. The political and economic climate here in the U.S. has caused uncertainty, and for many of our international customers, we understand that visiting might feel harder or even unwelcoming. Please know that we do not agree with anything that makes anyone feel less than welcome.
Our company stands for openness, kindness, freedom, and adventure. Those are the values we believe in, and we’ll continue to celebrate and protect them.
We are proud to support local businesses, the beauty of our state and national parks, and the shared joy of exploring the wide-open spaces of this incredible country. No matter what happens in politics, the mountains still rise, the forests still whisper, the deserts still stretch under endless skies, and we are here, ready to help you experience all of it.
If you’ve had to cancel or postpone your trip, we understand and we’ll be here whenever you’re ready. If you can come, we promise you a warm welcome, a safe adventure, and a connection to the true, wild spirit of the U.S. that is still very much alive.
Thank you for being part of our family. Thank you for believing in the power of travel to bring people together.
Our roads are still open and so are our hearts.
With gratitude and hope,
Jonathan Cooley, President
Escape Campervans
At Escape Camper Vans, we believe that every adventure should leave the world a little better than we found it. When you rent a campervan with us, you’re doing more than embarking on an unforgettable journey, you’re helping to protect the places you explore and support the communities you visit.
Here’s how your trip makes a difference:
🌲 Explore Responsibly:
Our national and state parks are feeling the effects of budget cuts. Every visit, every park pass, and every campsite booking helps keep these treasured places open and thriving. We’ll help you find hidden gems and offer tips for traveling responsibly and giving back along the way.
🏕️ Support Local Communities:
Small businesses, from outdoor outfitters to diners and local markets, are the lifeblood of adventure travel. Spending locally helps sustain the people and cultures that make every stop on your road trip meaningful. We’ll guide you to local favorites that appreciate every traveler who walks through their doors.
♻️ Choose Sustainable Travel:
Our campervans are built for low-impact journeys. By traveling lighter and smarter, you help reduce stress on outdoor resources and contribute to more sustainable recreation.
