The Mavericks is well-suited for private getaways to Blue Ridge Parkway. But it can sleep 5, so you can take the whole family. You can also rent rooftop sleepers if you want your kids to sleep on their own.
If you need additional room for your family or taking a longer, more epic trip, look into the Big Sur campervan. Here you have the same amenities as the Mavericks. Yet it’s big enough that you don’t need to fold down the bucket seats to unfold your queen-size bed. The Big Sur also includes additional storage space. So feel free to pack that extra bathing suit. From the Orlando Escape depot, it’s roughly 9 hours to get to Blue Ridge Parkway, heading north on I-75. You can start driving the Blue Ridge Parkway in Cherokee North Carolina.

Like most visitors, you could stay at Mount Pisgah or Otter Creek. You better call first, though, as you may need reservations — especially during the busy season in October. Then again, you don’t need an oversized site or water hookups, so you can stay almost anywhere!
For smaller, more intimate campsites, we suggest camping at Miller’s Campground or Crabtree Falls. Or give dispersed camping a go near Blue Ridge Parkway with your Escape campervan. Just remember, dispersed camping means roughing it without bathrooms or fire pits, so you want to abide by the Leave No Trace principles.
